There’s lots going on at INTRA to help you craft your way to a handmade Christmas! We have a weekend of decoration and card making coming up on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December, and then a festive string of lovely classes to make unique and beautiful gifts including lampshades, printed tote bags, T-shirts or cushion covers, or join one of Unravel & Unwind’s drop in sessions to crochet, knit or sew something special.

Printed Christmas Cards & Decorations

Mix and match designs to hand print festive decorations and Christmas cards for your most special friends and relatives. Print a dozen cards with envelopes per session, and embellish with rubber stamps, stickers and sparkles, plus make hanging decorations for the tree, or string together prints to make bunting.

Felt Christmas Decorations

Make your own hanging decorations from gingerbread men to stars to reindeer. Learn how to use patterns and hand sew with felt. All equipment and fabrics are supplied but if you would like to use your own tools or fabrics you are welcome to bring them.

Printed Lampshades

Explore two wonderful methods of printmaking to create designs on paper or fabric, then learn how to craft them into a beautiful lampshade. Using found objects, leaves and textures we will print with Gelli plates to make delicate prints. We’ll also make simple relief blocks to add repeat patterns and craft selected prints into a lampshade using metal rings and a special heat resistant backing paper.

A mini screen printing workshop that is so much fun you will find it hard to stop! Choose from lots of designs including mermaids, ships, monsters, robots, skulls, stars, flowers, cameras etc. (more than 70 designs!) and the alphabet. Print your own combination on a small tote bag (£5), or a shopping bag, cushion cover or t-shirt (£9). Make a special present for someone, or a one off item for yourself!

Knitting, Sewing, Crochet & Card Making

Unravel & Unwind holds drop in sessions at INTRA every day apart from Tuesday, and there are special sessions on some days focusing on individual crafts. These are supported sessions so as well as having access to the wonderful array of tools and yarns on hand, you’ll be shown what to do and helped with new stitches and ideas. It’s a lovely place to make hand crafted gifts in friendly company. There’s no need to book.
