We’re delighted to be part of Medway Pride Fringe again in August this year, and along with venues throughout the Old High Street Intra area, can’t wait to salute the street’s LGBTQ+ heritage and fill the road with joyful Pride Fringe activities in the run up to the Castle Gardens festival. Linking up with our neighbours – we’ve put together a programme of daytime and evening fun and displays along the High Street for the LGBTQ+ community and all who want to celebrate it.
Pride Accessories
Monday 12 August, 11:00 – 17:00
Get yourself kitted out with temporary tattoos, badges and jewellery to wear for the parade and festival in this drop in workshop for all ages. No need to book for this one, just come along to our inclusive studio and bring your friends and family to enjoy some creative time expressing your identity and LGBTQ+ support with wearable art. Stay for as long as you like, everyone welcome.
There will be three sizes of badge machines, shrinkies, fimo, beads, and tattoo paper, plus jewellery clasps, brooch backs, rings, earring posts etc. to work with.

Shiny Printy Pride Drinkies
Thursday 15 August, 19:00 or 20:30
Join our printing party and start getting your sparkle on for Medway Pride! Enjoy 80 minutes of screen printing fun – decorating a T-shirt with a colourful Pride slogan of your own invention and splashing some shiny foil effects on top.
Choose a T-shirt colour, work out what your text will say and arrange your letters. Pick from a range of patterns and get screen printing onto the fabric over the top with lightweight silkscreen stencils, then add bright, shiny foils with a heat press. Get ready for the big reveal and ta-dah! Your T-shirt is pimped up and Pride-ready.
With delicious cocktails on sale throughout the evening until 10pm from a pop-up Poco Loco cocktail bar, and a Medway Pride Radio playlist to bop along to as you print.
