We recently asked you to help us choose 10 female leaders of Medway, as the focus of a two-year textiles and songwriting project ‘The Cut Of Her Cloth’. The votes are all in, and we’re delighted to announce the ten women who have been selected.
We love being part of Medway Pride, and shining a light on the heritage of LGBTQ+ in our area – so we were delighted to take part in the Pride Fringe activities in The Old High Street Intra area in August.
It’s the return of the annual Medway Open Studios & Arts Festival (MOSAF), time to fling open our doors at INTRA and welcome you in again to have a nose around our workspaces.
Artist and illustrator Nick Morley aka Linocutboy is a regular visiting tutor at Intra Arts, but through June we’re excited to host an exhibition of his wonderful large linocuts as well. The show runs from 3 – 30 June 2022 and is timed to coincide with Medway Print Festival.
On Thursday 2nd June we’re launching an exciting new textiles and song project that celebrates female Medway leaders, and we’d love you to join us for a fun filled day of music, sewing, making and cake.
At the end of October it’s time to honour lost loved ones again, with one of our favourite festivals. Decorate sugar skulls or lantern shrine jars, screen print tote bags with skull and flower designs, cut colourful papel picado hanging banners, make a skull mask or choose other creative activities in this day inspired by the Mexican Day of the Dead.
