Intra Arts is taking part in BLOOMING INTRA, a week of free events, workshops and activities from Monday 5 May to Sunday 11 May 2025, designed to help you Grow Your Own Way – whether that means learning to grow plants, exploring your connection to green spaces, or simply trying something new. There’s something for everyone, from hands-on garden-inspired activities to fresh ways to nurture your body, soul, and community, all hosted at various venues along the Old High Street Intra.

In our windows gallery we have MESS ROOM Connects Celebration Garden Exhibition throughout May 2025. This inspirational visual arts collaboration features artwork by over 60 artists from Kent Association for the Blind Art Groups and Peer Arts. The pieces were made during a fantastic 12-month journey supported by National Lottery Project Grant funding from Arts Council England and in partnership with Rochester Cathedral, KAB, Gravesham Borough Council, The Amelia Scott, The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge and Medway Council.

Our fabulous partners in the basement, Zigzag Scrapstore, will be hosting a free Seed Swap (Monday), and Fabric Flower Accessory Workshop (Saturday), with a very special offer on scrap baskets for visitors.

On Wednesday we’ll be hosting the last in our series of Art Taster Sessions for adults, in partnership with Medway Plus, and this time the creative activity is making Nature Prints with Gelli monoprinting plates. Older / isolated people particularly encouraged to join us, but all adults welcome.
